MPX's human alter ego, single beige female has made another beige micro-fillum, My Beige Foot. This 4-minute experimental short stars micropixie's foot, and touches on the randomness of nationality and skin colour. Soundtrack composed by MPX too...!



It is being screened at the 2006 Third I International South Asian Film Festival, and is one of a diverse compilation of quirky, satirical and challenging films in the Local South Asian Short Films program. The 3rd I festival, which promotes diverse images of South Asians through independent film, lasts three days and shows art-house classics to documentary films, from innovative and experimental visions to next-level Bollywood. Premonition, the last track of Alice in Stevie Wonderland, is part of the soundtrack to Rehana Mirza's new film Hiding Divya on mental illness in the South Asian community, starring Madhur Jaffrey & Pooja Kumar. It will be the Centerpiece film at the Sixth Annual IAAC Film Festival in New York (screeing at 6pm EST).

Micropixie has been invited to perform at the annual multi-disciplinary arts festival based in Los Angeles; ArtWallah showcases innovative and original work from South Asian artists and artist-activists that address political, personal, or cultural celebrations/struggles. Started by a group of artists and community activists in 1999, ArtWallah is a grassroots initiative responding to the need for a platform of expression and a channel of communication between South Asian diasporic artists and their communities. Micropixie will be performing two sets; for both performances, MPX will be accompanied on tabla by Robin Sukhadia.
